The stories are as follows:
In the first story, the boy Damodar is stolen by the panther-like beast called the Asirvash. The beast wants to eat Damodar, but he manages to escape. Damodar and his friends Charudatta and Bhimashrava, who are mice, get on the path of the beast, and try to find a way to stop him. In the end, Damodar and his friends manage to defeat the beast, and he promises to not to eat anyone else.
In the second story, there is a prince named Yudashrava, who is the son of King Daayen. He loves Princess Damayanti, but she loves someone else. So, Princess Damayanti leaves her royal mansion to stay with her new lover.
